The Melton School sets a high standard for interactive, text-based Jewish learning. Temple Shalom is entering its third year of offering these inspiring classes for learners of all knowledge levels and backgrounds. Registration is now open. A lay-led discussion of the weekly Torah portion. Torah Talk takes place on the first Saturday of every month in the Board room.

Wise Aging – Sacred Living
A groundbreaking program specifically designed to meet the social, emotional and spiritual needs of Jewish seekers entering second adulthood.
Wise Aging Year 2
Prerequisite: Wise Aging Year 1
Begins Monday, October 8 at 1:00pm
Wise Aging Year 1
Every other Thursday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm
Beginning January 3, 2019

New this year! Temple member and yoga teacher Missy Balsam, will lead this class that will be a mix of yoga, tikkun middot (spiritual and ethical character traits), and other mindfulness topics.
The first class is Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and will take place every other Thursday. This class is open to all. Please watch for more information on this new and exciting program.
The Shirley and Henry Kraus Scholar in Residence Weekend – Save these dates! January 25-27, 2019
Temple Shalom welcomes Edwin Black, award winning New York Times bestselling author of IBM and the Holocaust, The Farhud and Financing and Flames for the Scholar in Residence weekend. Mr. Black will present three riveting events over the course of the weekend. More details to follow.

Right here at Temple Shalom you will find the only comprehensive Judaica library in Collier County. Come on in, have a cup of coffee and peruse the shelves. We’re also looking for a volunteer or two to help with reshelving books and cataloging new ones. Let us know if you can help out. Parents can find age appropriate resources for children such as Shaboom! videos which teach children about Jewish values like visiting the sick, tzedakah and asking forgiveness. There are recipes for the holidays, links to Jewish music, information on lifecycle events and rituals and more.
